TP-Link MC220L media converter

Media Converter MC220L allows bi-directional conversion of 1000BASE-SX/LX optical signal into a signal conducted with 10/100/1000Base-T copper cable. The MC220L converter, designed in accordance with IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX/LX/LH standards, is designed for use with multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic cables that use a LC type connector. The device allows the reception and transmission of multimode signal of 850 nm wavelength and single-mode signal of 1310 nm wavelength.

Free-standing converter with LED indicators

The converter can operate as a free-standing device or can be mounted in TP-LINK housing. The TX Port has automatic crossover (Auto MDI/MDI-X). On the front panel there are LED indicators that inform about the status of the device. The media converter, using a multi-mode cable, transmits an optical signal at a distance of up to 0.55 km, while using a single-mode cable, it transmits a signal at a distance of up to 10 km.
