TP-LINK TL-T1500G-28TC (TL-SL2428) is a smart Gigabit network switch equipped with 24 Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, 4 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and 2 SFP combo slots. The device has extensive network traffic security features, including support for VLAN 802.1Q, and additionally Port Security and Storm Control, which effectively protect our local network. The switch can be managed through a web browser, command line or with SNMP and RMON protocols. In addition, the switch has the ability to optimize voice and video transmissions with QoS (L2/L3/L4) and IGMP Snooping. TL-SL2428 is a cost-effective solution for medium and small businesses.

Quality of Service

For better audio, data and video transmission over the network, the device uses the advanced QoS function. The network administrator can set the priorities for network traffic, e.g. for individual IP addresses, MAC addresses, TCP or UDP ports, etc. This ensures that audio and video transmission is smooth, clear and free of transmission delays. In combination with support for dedicated VLANs, this makes voice transmissions smoother and more efficient.

Second layer functions

To increase the number of possible applications, TL-SL2428 switches are equipped with a number of second layer traffic management features, including 802.1Q VLAN support, port isolation, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, port aggregation and 802.3x flow control. Additionally, it is equipped with numerous maintenance functions such as loop back connection detection, cable diagnostics and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping allows for intelligent multicast streaming to specific subscribers only, and IGMP throttling and IGMP filtering effectively restricts access to multicast for unauthorized users.

TL-SL2428 is easy to use and manage. The hardware offers many intuitive management options in a user-friendly environment, such as the GUI graphical user interface and CLI command line interface.
