Zyxel ES1100-8P - 8-port unmanageable switch with PoE
The ES1100 series switches are a solution for creating Fast Ethernet networks in an office environment. Their advantages are quiet operation and energy efficiency, which provide functions to save energy and dissipate heat - without a fan. Zyxel ES1100 will provide support for plug-and-play technology and high throughput in network applications. The Zyxel ES1100-8P and ES1100-16P switch models support the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, which allows for easy installation of devices in hard-to-reach places. Power up to 15.4W per port will allow to power network devices via CAT-5 cable - at a distance of up to 100 meters.

Saving energy
Switches series ES1100 provide high energy efficiency with dynamic power regulation:
- Low link activity detection in 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) - low network traffic is detected so that switch can adjust the power consumption of the link. The 802.3az function can be set by a switch on the housing.
- Detect inactive links - detection of inactive links or devices will reduce power consumption.
- Detection of wire length - this function adjusts power consumption accordingly, based on the detected distance from the connected device - it will reduce power consumption for nearby connections.
- No fans - quiet operation thanks to the design without active cooling, which makes ES1100 switches suitable for small rooms.
