MikroTik mUPS is a Gigabit PoE injector with buffer capability. The device is powered via passive PoE or DC plug (12 - 28 V DC). It also has a second Gigabit Ethernet port, which serves as a PoE output. There is a possibility to connect a 12 V battery to the device, in case of loss of the main power supply the mUPS will automatically switch to emergency power supply even if your power source is 28 V. LEDs inform about the way of power supply and battery charging.
It is possible to detect emergency power supply from the RouterOS system. With the help of a script, it is possible to monitor the input voltage of a particular device. Battery charging current is 1A, maximum output current is also 1A. MUPS is a simple and compact device that will make your network more reliable, or in situations where a stable power supply is not available, e.g. in solar or car installations.
