About product

Cambium cnPilot™ Outdoor E500 802.11ac - Gigabit Access Point

The device is designed for use in public wireless networks, hospitals, educational facilities, industrial campuses, for virtually any outdoor environment requiring a cost-effective solution.

Operational Excellence

Cambium cnPilot E500 provides simultaneous support for up to 256 customers, 16 SSIDs. It also features WPA-2 encryption, dynamic VLANs, DFS channels, access control lists (ACL) and zero touch provisioning (touchless configuration). Thanks to the perfect quality of the Wi-Fi network, the device is ideal for external environments.

High performance Wi-Fi

All cnPilot class Enterprise access points offer controller-less roaming, dynamic channel selection, automatic transmit power control, beam control and many other features to ensure easy operation of Wi-Fi networks.

Integration of wireless backhauling

The Aux PoE port on the e500 will eliminate the need for an additional power circuit by using PoE to connect 802.3af compliant cameras or PMP450 or ePMP subscriber modules to create Wi-Fi hotspots with wireless backhaul.

Resistance

Double memory banks Active/Standby for higher availability. The e500 can store two software versions and use a working version if needed, reducing the need for service visits and increasing network availability time.
