The access point WAP150 uses a dual-band radio to improve coverage on mobile devices. The Gigabit Ethernet LAN interfaces with Power over Ethernet (PoE) make installation easier and significantly reduce cabling costs, and the intelligent quality of service features (QoS) allow high-bandwidth traffic to be prioritized for Voice over IP (VoIP) and video applications.
To provide users with highly secure Wi-Fi access, WAP150 access points support captive portal with multiple authentication options and rights, roles and bandwidth configuration. The guest login page allows for the presentation of the welcome message and access details and enhances brand recognition with the company logo.

The reliability and protection of confidential business information in WAP150 access points is provided by support for both Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) Personal and Enterprise, which encode all wireless transmissions using powerful encryption. The 802.1X RADIUS authentication protects against unauthorized access. Access point WAP150 is also integrated with Cisco Umbrella and protects users and visitors from Internet threats such as malware.
