Huawei MA5680T terminal

The Huawei MA5680T is a high-performance OLT terminal designed for GPON networks. The 10U high chassis supports up to 14 GPON service boards, allowing a maximum of 28672 subscribers with 16-port boards or 14336 subscribers with 8-port boards (GPON boards not included). Included with the OLT MA5680T are:

  • Two DC power boards (PRTE model), operating redundantly (48 V) to ensure continuous operation.
  • Two X2CS uplink boards, each with two SFP slots (10 Gbps), ensuring high throughput.
  • Two SCUN control boards, responsible for management and stable operation.

What is the difference between the MA5680T and the MA5683T?

The only difference is the capacity, MA5683T max supports 6 service slots, MA5680T max supports 16 service slots.

Does the MA5680T support AC power?

No, but you can buy a DC converter if you only have an AC power source.

Can I have 1000 Base-T as an uplink?

Yes, instead of GICF uplink board, you can buy GICG uplink board, if you use GICF, you can buy electric SFP module, and then you can have 1000 Base-T as uplink.

What is the maximum transmission distance between GPON OLT and ONT?

20KM maximum.
