MC100CM Fast Ethernet Media Converter

The MC100CM is a 10/100Mbps media converter with a copper cable, enabling the conversion of a 100BASE-FX optical signal to a 100Base-TX signal - and vice versa. The device uses Link Fault Passthrough and Far End Fault functions, which minimize signal losses due to connection errors.

Multi-mode converter with SC connectors

TP-Link MC100CM, according to IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, uses multi-mode optical fiber with SC connectors. The MC100CM converter, according to the LX long term optical transmission specification, provides fast wired data transmission speed. The device can send and receive 1310nm wavelength signal.

Automatic crossover and speed negotiation

The converter can work as a stand-alone device or can be mounted in a 19´´TP-LINK cabinet. The TX port is equipped with a Auto MDI/MDI-Xautomatic crossover function and automatic speed negotiation connection in full duplex mode. On the front panel there are LED indicators informing about the operating status of the device. The MC100CM converter, using multi-mode optical fiber, transmits an optical signal over a distance of up to 2 km.
