The device is also equipped with numerous maintenance functions, such as loop back connection detection, cable diagnostics and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping allows for intelligent multicast streaming only to specific subscribers, and IGMP throttling and IGMP filtering effectively restrict access to multicast for unauthorized users. The T1600G-28PS also supports static L2+ layer routing, which allows for network segmentation and performance enhancement.

Smooth data transmission with QoS and IPv6 support

To enable simultaneous and smooth transmission of voice, video or data, the switch is equipped with extensive QoS functions. The administrator is able to set priorities based on 802.1P and DSCP protocols, which will ensure smooth data transmission.
