TP-Link Gigabit Smart Switch TL-SG2008 features 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports, the last of which is a PoE port compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The device provides high performance, business-grade QoS and rich L2 layer management features. TL-SG2008 also has useful security features, including Storm Control, which protects against the occurrence of Broadcast, Multicast and Unicast packet broadcast storms, making it a great solution for small and medium businesses.
TheTL-SG2008 features a PoE port compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards. The switch can be powered by PoE or via an external power supply. The PoE capability provides the convenience of installing the switch in locations where power outlets are not readily available.
To enable simultaneous smooth data, voice and video transmissions, the switch is equipped with extensive QoS features. To ensure smooth data transmission, the administrator can prioritize data transmission based on port priority, 802.1P and DSCP protocols.
In order to expand the number of possible applications, TL-SG2008 switches comes with a host of Layer 2 traffic management features, including 802.1Q VLAN support, port isolation, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP and 802.3x flow control. Additionally, it is equipped with numerous maintenance features such as loop back connection detection, cable diagnostics and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping allows you to intelligently forward multicast streams only to specified subscribers, while IGMP throttling and IGMP filtering functions effectively restrict access to multicast transmissions for unauthorized users.
TheTL-SG2008 is easy to operate and manage. The device can be managed in a variety of ways, such as through an intuitive web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a Command Line Interface (CLI). SNMP (1/2/3) and RMON protocol support allows the switch to communicate relevant status information and catch unexpected events.
