A new band from the world's most popular smart band family has appeared - Mi Band 5 is a significant improvement over its predecessor. And it achieves this with a low price.
The first big change compared to the previous generations is the AMOLED display, which has grown to 1.1 inches from 0.95 inches and, as usual, can be customized with a large selection of designs, animated dials are also available.
The Mi Band 5 sports band has a large set of sensors - accelerometer, pulsometer, barometer, gyroscope and an oxygenation sensor. However, the software has been improved and now there are 11 "professional modes" . They are properly tuned, provide detailed insight into the data and allow for accurate tracking. For example, Mi Band 5 can automatically recognize the five main swimming styles. The Band itself can be submerged in water up to 50 meters. A PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) rating is also now available, which allows you to better understand the impact of training on your overall well-being and fitness.
Heart monitoring has been improved and can now detect irregularities and notify you. What's more, the new PPG sensor is 50% more accurate than in the previous generations. When it comes to sleep tracking, the original Xiaomi Mi Band 5 can now extract the data associated with the REM phase.
The new Xiaomi Mi Band guarantees 14 days of battery life. The charger has been improved and now connects to the rear of the Mi Band 5 using magnets, so there is no need to pull the Mi Band 5 out of the wristband while charging.
