UNVR - new professional DVR for cameras from Ubiquiti

Efficient video recording from IP cameras is the job of a Network Video Recorder (NVR). Storing footage in a cloud isn't always the best option, it can be treated as a backup of the files stored locally. The new efficient NVR from Ubiquiti - UNVR enables you to simultaneously record and store high quality 4K footage from fifteen cameras for thirty days, or for fifty days in FullHD from fifty cameras, that is with four 8TB drives working in RAID 5. Intuitive use, excellent software and carefully chosen device parameters are what makes this device so versatile.

This NVR was created for efficient recording and storing of video for businesses. Its compact case made from SGCC Steel has four 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive slots of up to 8TB. Its ergonomic design makes access to the hard drives easy through the front panel, which greatly simplifies their installation, swapping and conservation. The installation of a hard drive requires only the use of a bracket in the proper position, as all slots are adapted to drives of both sizes without needin additional adapters. Hard drive installation and conservation is still very simple, even after placing the UNVR in a 19" rack with the use of the mounting kit included. The device is only 1U high.

The device's software allows it to work in RAID 1 and RAID 5, providing corporate-class data protection. RAID 1 is recommended in situations where reliability and protection from disk failure are most important, for regular protection against one disk failure RAID 5 is sufficient. Configurating RAID is completely safe and fully automated.

Network interfaces of the UNVR allow it to comfortably transmit of all video streams both in the local network as well as in the Internet. The device has a single Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mb/s port and a single SFP+ 1/10 Gb/s port. Device management is available on the Ethernet, the device is connected to a network with cameras connected to a switch. The UNVR is very efficient thanks to its 1.7GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A57 processor and 4GB of fast DDR4 RAM.Ubiquiti's UNVR is additionaly equipped with built-in 32MB SPI NOR flash memory and 8GB USB Flash, which provide optimal work conditions for the UniFi Protect system. Apart from the software, the state of the device is also communicated with LEDs, which indicate the status of power, system, Ethernet and SFP ports and HDDs.

UNVR integrates four hard drives, a video recorder and the UniFi Protect software to ensure completely secure recording, storage and access to data. Its graphical user interface makes configuring the device safe and intuitive. The system was designed to enable it to work on a Plug&Play basis. Access to video data is possible from a desktop computer with a web browser or a mobile device with Android or iOS. All you have to do is install the UniFi Protect app, available on the App Store and Google Play. You can also stream and read the recorded data. To make the NVR even more secure, apart from mounting it in a secure rack, you can also supply it with an alternative power supply using the RPS DC connector. This enables the use of the USP-RPS power supply in emergency situations. UNVR can work in a wide temperature range from -5 to 40°C, which guarantees high durability and resistance to changing conditions.
